We wanted to eat something there at 8:45 p.m. The website said the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. We could read at the door that the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. Nevertheless, we got a rebuff from the waitress (who was probably quite embarrassed), unfortunately we couldn't eat anything anymore. So please either update the website and notice or serve the guests - at least not like that! We won't be back!

We were there with a group of almost 20 people and - with all Corona measures - felt completely comfortable, safe and lovingly cared for. Everything went smoothly, perfect organization. In addition, delicious food, beautiful scenery and a super warm team!

Unfortunately I have to say that I am very disappointed with the menu, it has become very manageable and how the restaurant owner behaves towards the guests is not even possible! I saw 6 guests who had already sat outside at the table and after the "conversation" with the owner of the restaurant, who had left the restaurant, with the statement to go to Lautren to eat, because you are treated more friendly as a guest like here! The service staff was very nice, that has to be said!

Great atmosphere. Idyllic location. Parking in front of the house. Wonderful beer garden with an ice-cold beer stein. Jägerschnitzel can only be recommended. Very attentive and courteous staff.

We were there for Pentecost with a small motorcycle group. There were still significant "corona restrictions" to be observed, which were well organized and mastered by the owner and the staff! Breakfast was good and the restaurant in the evening was not to be scoffed at. Of course, you always have to see things in terms of price / performance. I only thought it was a shame, my narrow EZ-BED, which would have fit into a prison cell.

Even under the current conditions, it is simply a pleasure to eat delicious food here. Furthermore very friendly service and good quality

This place is a local’s favorite. Little Sebastian’s cousin can make an appearance in the field next door. I started with the potato salad (Lauwarmer Kartoffelsalat) and got the pork skillet (Mühlenpfanne "Schweinekamm") for dinner. I enjoyed everything. I definitely will be back to try more! They had several dishes that looked great and a few vegetarian options as well! The waitress was great and very friendly. She made good recommendations on wine. We were with a large group. I would highly recommend calling for reservations.

This restaurant is so well attended that it doesn't depend on my judgment. The service is good in my opinion and I find it much worse when something goes wrong in the kitchen than with the service.

This review is only for the restaurant. Ambiance is modern but comfortable. The dishes are traditional German with some Pfälz specialties like saumagen, blutwurst, and tafelspitz. The Holzfäller pork steak is delicious, tender and juicy - I definitely recommend it. Service has always been good, and they have English menus for those who need them. Prices are good for the quality of food, dishes range from 8 euro to 20 (Argentinean beef steak). It is one of the places I take out-of-town guests to, and I would recommend it to anyone.
